Chiral separation of propranolol enantiomers

Racemic Propranolol is a medication of the beta-blocker type very useful to treat cardiovascular diseases. The S(-)-enantiomer is approximately 100 times more active and metabolized 100 times slower than the R(-)-enantiomer. In this application note, the Wyn-CE system is used to carry out the chiral separation of Propranolol.

L'avis de l'expert : Capillary electrophoresis is a useful and efficient technique for chiral analysis.
